Safety and Security

Your child's safety, while at Hobby Horse Preschool, is our first priority. We work diligently to keep our school safe and secure. Parent Volunteers will wear safety badges that identify them as part of Hobby Horse. All doors to the Hobby Horse hallway are locked once the children have arrived at school. Admittance to HHP after the doors are locked can be gained by ringing the doorbell, identifying yourself and having a staff member let you in. A camera system monitors all of the doors of the church. Our staff is equipped with walkie talkies to use in case of emergency. No child will be dismissed to an adult that is not on the approved pick up list without specific consent of the parent. Photo ID will be required, for any adult that is not known to the staff, prior to a child being dismissed. Our staff is trained in First Aid, CPR adult/child/infant, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training, Communicable Disease Recognition and Child Abuse Recognition. We will conduct fire drills, tornado drills and lock-down drills as required by law. If your child requires simple first aid we will do so and complete an incident/injury report. First aid that is serious in nature will require us to call 911 and then the parent.
